MetroWest Educational Foundation Scholarship
Each year the MetroWest Educational Foundation awards scholarships to students in the MetroWest Chamber's member towns. On April 26 of 2012, $13,000 was awarded to 13 deserving high school seniors at the Annual Scholarship Breakfast.
The Scholarship Selection Committee included Committe chair, Katherine Wellington of Investment Property Specialists, Donna Kelleher, Next Generation Children's Centers, Chris Kostiw, Rockland Bank & Trust, Betsy Pielocik, Bose Corporation, Kelly Marcimo, Charter Business, and Bonnie Biocchi, MetroWest Chamber President.

STEM ScholarshipsThe MetroWest Chamber of Commerce STEM Scholarship was established to assist public or private high school seniors who reside in the MetroWest area and wish to continue their education beyond high school, whether in college, vocational or technical schools, with a focus on science, technology, engineering or math. Awards will be up to $1,000. Anyone who is graduating this year from high school and who satisfies the following criteria is eligible to submit a scholarship application: a. Resident of the MetroWest area of Massachusetts (Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury, Wayland or Westborough); b. Member of the senior class of a high school or private school. Must possess a grade average of B or better c. Demonstrated financial need and whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are willing to supply supporting documentation described in the application checklist; d. Candidates who are related to any officer or director of the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, or who are related to any member of the scholarship committee will not be eligible. Applications may be obtained from participating school Guidance Offices or can be downloaded here. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2012. |

Robert J. Lemieux ScholarshipsThe Robert J. Lemieux Scholarship was established to assist seniors in public or private high schools in the MetroWest area who wish to continue their education beyond high school, whether in college, vocational or technical schools, but are unable to do so due to financial difficulties not of their own cause. Awards will be up to $1,000 per student. Anyone who is graduating this year from high school and who satisfies the following criteria is eligible to submit a scholarship application: a. Resident of the MetroWest area of Massachusetts (Ashland, Framingham, Holliston, Hopkinton, Natick, Sherborn, Southborough, Sudbury or Wayland); b. Member of the senior class of a high school or private school with a grade average of C or better; c. Demonstrated financial need and whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are willing to supply supporting documentation described in the application checklist; d. Candidates who are related to any officer or director of the Trustee, or who are related to any member of the scholarship committee will not be eligible.
